For very practical automations like automating emails and compliance related things covering complex conditions and routing this platform provides excellent capability. We have also developed an app for recording visitors in our office in this platform where visitor records are captured including their photo and an email notification is being automatically sent to the person to whom the visitor wants to visit. As a tool it is best, the use case can be anything thing.
Low-Code, Easy to Start -Drag and drop interface with templates lets developers create automations quickly Excellent Microsoft Integration - Deep integration with Microsoft tools is a major advantage for organizations on the Microsoft stack. Productivity Gains -Users report significant time savings and reduced manual work when automations run reliably. Lots of Connectors -Supports hundreds of connectors - making it versatile for many use cases.
Seamless integration across whole Microsoft ecosystem is biggest advantage to me. Also I like ability to connect flows to wide range of triggers (eg. emails, SharePoint files/changes in files, or a button click in Power App or even a simple scheduled flow. I especially value automatic trigger - event driven. Thats the biggest benefit and perfectly complement RPA tool we use in the team.
We have recently started to explore various tools over the Microsoft platform in terms of process management and automation. We have been able to develop the required apps and workflows but are finding difficulty in automatically recording its data in our on-premises database. Most of the time we need to apply automated conditions based on data and authorities defined in on-premises systems, so if there would be an easy mechanism to sync data to & between power automate and our on-premises system it will be great which also helps us to provide real-time analytics through our internal system.
Licensing and Cost Confusion -Many users find the Power Automate licensing model confusing and potentially expensive when using premium features/connectors Debugging -Debugging complex flows can be frustrating, error messages may lack detail and flows can behave inconsistently. Mixed Third-Party Integration -Integration outside the Microsoft ecosystem can be less smooth than with Microsoft services.
Its important to be aware of Power Automate limitations, these become especially noticeable with more complex flows. With larger data sets we already hit time outs (especially with SharePoint). Licensing also feels very complicated. There are premium connectors on one side, different license groups on the other and it really could use a more unified and meaningful model. Sometimes troubleshooting failed triggers or connector issues can take more time than one would expect.
