All the tools being available via one app is incredibly useful. The ease of install is also a big one for us as admins. The product support via our TAM and their IT has made things very smooth.
Phone calls within RingCentral app, the Teams plugin, and from the RingCentral mobile app are great, simple to make and use. The integration with Teams has been incredibly useful and helpful. It is occasionally a little slow to load at first, but then works perfectly. The IVR creation with the visual IVR has been amazing to work with, simple to make adjustments to our very complex phonetree.
Ease of user set up and changing numbers.
The app will error out on occasion for seemingly no reason. Voice connectivity can be touchy on weaker internet or with RDP, but that's to be expected. Studio and configuring IVRs is a bit more confusing than prior products.
Support in general is difficult to navigate and for the last several months, we've had to solve issues completely on our own. Our account reps over the last two years have been non-responsive. RingCentral Video is terrible, low quality, dropped calls constantly. Not what we were promised. The admin portal UI is incredibly complex, things aren't where you'd expect them to be, and the process of adding a new account takes place in several different tabs rather than having a streamlined wizard. If you forget one step, it's awful.
When there are issues with the platform it can take 2-3 calls to customer service to get it corrected. It's all in the luck of the draw whether you will get a rep that can correct the issue or not. Also, when tickets are escalated it takes a while for the original tech to look at the notes and then get back to us on what the escalation team has said. Because of the inconsistencies in customer service, we have had to institute a policy were only I or IT can reach out to the RingCentral customer service team.
