“Unresolved Issue Hampers Client Communications on RingCentral”

RingCentral had such promise when we first moved to them. Phone, text, fax, chat, video calls galore. But over time, they moved away from RingCentral meetings, a white label product, to RingCentral video, which constantly has issues with audio and video quality, making meetings almost impossible. Then our rep slowly stopped responding. Most recently, texting broke for all of our staff when, for unexplained reasons, our pre-existing campaign for texting suddenly was marked rejected. No one responded or helped as we tried to navigate this. Our staff could not text our clients experiencing homelessness for almost a month...not ideal. While the phone calls are great quality, the IVR is great, and the settings are great, in general, RingEx and RingCentrals non-existent support has lost our support.

All the tools being available via one app is incredibly useful. The ease of install is also a big one for us as admins. The product support via our TAM and their IT has made things very smooth.

Like

Phone calls within RingCentral app, the Teams plugin, and from the RingCentral mobile app are great, simple to make and use. The integration with Teams has been incredibly useful and helpful. It is occasionally a little slow to load at first, but then works perfectly. The IVR creation with the visual IVR has been amazing to work with, simple to make adjustments to our very complex phonetree.

Ease of user set up and changing numbers.

Dislike

The app will error out on occasion for seemingly no reason. Voice connectivity can be touchy on weaker internet or with RDP, but that's to be expected. Studio and configuring IVRs is a bit more confusing than prior products.

Dislike

Support in general is difficult to navigate and for the last several months, we've had to solve issues completely on our own. Our account reps over the last two years have been non-responsive. RingCentral Video is terrible, low quality, dropped calls constantly. Not what we were promised. The admin portal UI is incredibly complex, things aren't where you'd expect them to be, and the process of adding a new account takes place in several different tabs rather than having a streamlined wizard. If you forget one step, it's awful.

Dislike

When there are issues with the platform it can take 2-3 calls to customer service to get it corrected. It's all in the luck of the draw whether you will get a rep that can correct the issue or not. Also, when tickets are escalated it takes a while for the original tech to look at the notes and then get back to us on what the escalation team has said. Because of the inconsistencies in customer service, we have had to institute a policy were only I or IT can reach out to the RingCentral customer service team.

    RingCentral is an easy to use unified communications as a service platform. It has a breadth of features and quality vendor support services. Use of the tool in our organization has enabled us to streamline workflows, host real-time video meetings, call and message our prospects without limitations. The software has amazing call quality and brilliant screen sharing capabilities. It has a comprehensive suite of communication and collaboration tools that provide communication solutions for all sizes of businesses and organisations.
