Ease of use, and the ability for employees to self manage their own profiles has been awesome. Also the fact that the onboarding process is seamless. As a new employee is onboarded, everything is automated from the collection of personal details and direct deposit information to the passing of e-verify data and receiving confirmation that they are eligible to work in the US.
The look and layout for employees is nice
Single platform for all HR needs: Employee & Employer Surveys, Performance Reviews, Org Charts, Pay Slips, Contractor Payments and Seamless International payroll
I personally dislike that all features are a la carte pricing. While this is nice because you can develop the perfect selection of integrations everything has a price rather then an all in model.
1. The ATS is subpar, it requires a lot of clicking to see candidate information, does not have outlook scheduling integration, and does not allow for the comparison of multiple candidates. 2. Reporting is clunky and difficult to use. Many of the reportable items take significant searching and often help from the Rippling team to locate. 3. As an admin, the employee view and information is in too many places. It takes multiple clicks and searches to find items that should live in the employee record, such as time off policies, balances and accruals. 4. The system is not capable of calculating OT and Double OT on the same paycheck, resulting in additional batches needing to be processed for NonExempt employees. 5. Rippling ties your hands to making any business level changes, such as makign a carrier change mid year. For companies going through M & A exercises it should not require 60 days to set up new benefits in the system (not establishing feeds, this takes an additional 60 days, permission to work with a new carrier). 6. Rippling manages our HSA which has created issues as the pre-fund at the begining of the month. Employees who are terminated early have already been funded thier HSA contribution resulting in a double deduction needing to happen on their final check or a claw back of money they are not eligible for. 7. No 360 feeds available for 401K
The initial learning curve can be steep due to the platform's extensive features, and sometimes the interface feels overwhelming with so many options.
