Azure Automation has been our go-to solution for our Identity & Access Management Team for the work that we used to do manually, now we don't require human intervention and where the proposal for AI Agents was enforced by our Senior leadership recommendations, we're able to negotiate with the leadership based on the features that Azure Automation provides in cases of linear workflows and limited set of instructions are involved performing only one repetitive task. I personally embedded a PowerShell Script that creates a JIRA intake whenever a client secret is about to expire so that we can get them rotated on time while making sure the effort is tracked. This keeps our org. compliant in secrets management and keep the identity posture secure for various enterprise applications. We've also implemented this in cases like SAML Certificate renewals, Incident Management, regular VM patching, executing terraform scripts to fix vulnerabilities in cloud resources without any downtime.
