I've used several site development apps in the past 12 years and found WIX to be the most intuitive to my needs. I will not be so bold as to say it will be the best for you / your application. My world is B2B sites for manufacturing companies - where websites are often your introductory collateral and lead to first formal engagement. WIX has all the media management and deployment tools I need to build a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate site. There is a very good library of layout templates and graphic elements along with an easy way to start from scratch. Although we do not use them, WIX provides e-commerce / payment templates, all kinds of forms, subscriptions, and live visitor engagement capabilities. I'd wager I am only using about 30% of what WIX can do. Like any program with appreciable horsepower, there is a learning curve. There is ample help available within the program and a library of how-to videos. WIX also has an impressive set of behind-the-scenes tools available for troubleshooting, SEO planning / revising, site activities / analytics... I find WIX easy to use and flexible when it comes to site revisions and updates and it is very easy to create back-up pages.
