Smartsheet has been a great addition to my team's recruitment and onboarding processes. I use it for dashboarding feedback in surveys, for tracking team capacity. Smartsheet was our tool of choice for a global company initiative to collect and quantify employee onboarding survey feedback. This was a critical program for our company. I like the flexibility of the tool, and the automation and notification features. I like how I can build my own dashboards to analyze my data with some basic training on the tool. I also like how I can easily test out new charts and views myself, and I don't have to work with a BI developer or IT team member to accomplish what I need. That enables me to execute quickly.

Smartsheet is a great tool and platform for our team and organisation to streamline our projects, delivery outcomes and month to month reporting to various stakeholders. It has become our one source of truth for all our projects.

My most favorite feature is the user interface. You can organize work in rows and columns like a spreadsheet, but I also love switching to different views like calendars or dashboards. I use the calendar view to track PTOs for my team, it makes collaboration simple allowing everyone on my team to see updates in real time. An additional feature being used is the automated workflows to send reminders to the assignees. That reduced a ton of time on manual follow-ups.

I don't have any integrations with my Smartsheet account, so some updates are a manual process due to how I've configured my instance. That's not a knock on Smartsheet, it's more due to my choice. One thing that I dislike is the lack of customization in the notification messages. I wish I could customize the look and feel of those messages.

Having to pay for further upgrades. Memberships are limited and contacting someone from Smartsheet support proved harder than expected

At first, the number of features can feel overwhelming to users. Some settings and automation rules take time to fully understand, for e.g. Creating dashboards is a bit of a learning curve. I have not used the data flows capabilities yet but I am sure that will take some time to learn as well.

Azure DevOps has decent connectivity with Microsoft365. While it's not designed for waterfall, there's nothing that prevents you from using it that way. There's a plethora of plugins and customizations that may help you do what you want. I agree with Pranay below, there may not be one single provider that can check all the boxes.

IMO - Smartsheet, Monday and Wrike are primarily Task management platforms. as Dan says Below much the same. Enterprise PPMs are about Portfolio management (Governance, Resourcing, Financials, Budgets, ROI, Benefit realization) and Project Delivery (Scheduling, Risks, Status etc). Its best to work out what your PPM requirements are before looking at tools

I have been using SmartSheet since I joined my company in 2021. Smartsheet has been more powerful for managing my projects end to end. It feels like a more powerful version of a spreadsheet that's built specifically for managing work and keeping teams organized. It helps me bring structure to projects without being overly complicated. Once you get used to how it works, it becomes a reliable place to track tasks, deadlines, and progress in one view.

SmartSheet is a very powerfull Project Management platform in the clouds offering Sharing options, communication tools, Dashboard, ... and most importantly the ability to create links between projects. This make it a excellent solution for Program and Portfolio management. Additionally, SmartSheet includes a resource management feature that enables you to manage both project resources and functional team resources (for routine activities) within the same platform.

Great tool for managing projects but also excellent tool to present projects and make project presentations and follow up more dynamic. It is also an excellent time management tool, I create personal to-do lists to help me keep all the tasks not linked to a project in order. The integration with other programs is excellent.
