On the positive side, I found SAP DataServices to be an excellent ETL tool, it's powerful, reliable, and integrates well for managing complex data processes. When it comes to reporting, Business Objects does deliver strong capabilities, but the solution feels somewhat obsolete and complicated on the backend compared to more modern BI tools. While it gets the job done, the architecture feels dated. Overall, it's a dependable suite with robust functionality, especially on the ETL side (new cloud connectors would be useful), but it could benefit from modernization and simplification in its reporting components.
