I initially had doubts about Lucid, mainly because i had already used several diagramming and collaboration tools that promised more that they delivered. After integrating Lucid in our daily work, it has fully lived upto its purpose. A large part of my role involves translating complex property development workflows, leasing processes and operational procedures into something that decision makers can easily understand. Before Lucid, discussions were buried in lengthy email threads and documents but now, i can walk stakeholders through visual process maps during meeting, capture feedback on the spot and update workflows in realtime. It has also helped out team refine project scopes, identify process gaps and keep client timelines. We particularly appreciate the visual presentations because they simplify complex operational relationship that would take multiple meetings to explain. This has improved communication across departments and given us a shared visual source of truth during planning, workshops and project execution

This review will be geared towards Enterprise customers, and its author (me) has been a Zoom administrator for a large company for 11 years. Zoom Whiteboards can be considered best-in-class as a collaboration tool, with feature parity that meets and sometimes exceeds standalone whiteboarding tools. I think many vendors in the Unified Communications space lazily slapped in a barebones whiteboard functionality just to be able to say on paper that they have it. But Zoom went above and beyond in ensuring that their whiteboard experience was an advanced, easy to use, feature-rich, deeply integrated toolset. For existing licensed Zoom users with access to Whiteboards, if you're not using it, you should be. And for prospective Zoom customers, Zoom Whiteboards is an excellent factor to consider when evaluating Zoom.

Overall, FigJam has been a helpful and convenient companion to our main Figma Design use. However, it occasionally feels slightly limited and hamstrung compared to its big brother. I understand some of that is by design though.

Mural is a modern visual collaboration workspace software. The software ensures real-time collaboration including brainstorming of ideas, task management and real-time editing. It is a flexible and scalable software which works for both small and medium businesses. The product has customizable templates that speeds up and enhances operations. Through the use of the software we are able to automate complex workflows, record, save and export canvases flawlessly. The software easily integrates with other meeting solutions and also allows secure file sharing. Ease of customization and availability of quality vendor support services brings about the difference between Mural software and other similar tools. Use of the product in our organisation has enabled us to collect opinions and organise ideas that lead to informed decision making.

My overall experience with Google Jamboard has been mixed. While it is simple to use for basic brainstorming and quick visual collaboration, it falls short for enterprise-scale and long term use. The product work well for lightweight ideation sessions, but lacks the depth reliability and governance features required in a large financial organization. Limited integration with enterprise tooling, performance issues in large board and the announced product deprecation reduce confident in adopting it as strategic collaboration platform.

Canva is a great tool for instant design and gives access to many types if design work, including editing, creating mockups, a bit of UI, website design, making a presentation, and much more. I started using Canva 8 years back, and trust me, it has been a lifesaver for instant design ideas. It offers a huge library of templates in almost every size (you can even customize or choose from pre-made sizes), and the best part is that even the free version allows you to explore many tools and understand the platform before opting for the paid version Besides this, its integration with many other platforms is very useful, such as access to images from Unsplash, an AI voice tool, and AI image creation. Navigating the software is mostly easy, though it does act up sometimes. For a beginner who is getting into design or needs some quick work, this is the best platform I have ever come across. Collaboration on Canva is also very easy. All you have to do is give access through a link, and the whole team can collaborate and access designs in real time (this really helped me during college time my group projects became so easy because of Canva). You can see real-time updates made by others and vice-versa. One of the best features in resizing being a designer we need the same design in different designs and this feature works wonders for that though earlier it was free but now this comes in the paid version. Another great part is that you can use Canva on any device. While a computer gives more control but you can have access to your data and designs on a phone. Adding a brand kit is another mind-blowing feature as it helps make work faster and smoother. Simply choose your brand kit and all your brand info is there, you don't have to run through the library and it is so helpful that one click and you can change a template design into your brand colors. For someone who is a beginner or doesn't know much about design but still wants to create designs, this tool is truly mind-blowing.
