Workday has been a game-changer for us. Before Workday, we had an on-premises ERP/HRIS that started as our Y2K project. We were only able to afford to update that application once since we turned it on. Only a small group of superusers had access to the system. Reporting was difficult and all analytics had to happen outside the system. We also used multiple independent applications that did not work well with each other. A limited number of users could even access the system, without mobile or remote access. With Workday, we've been able to move to the cloud, get rid of our on-prem servers, eliminate technical debt, and embrace an application that can handle the entire employee lifecycle. Analytics are now instantly available for data-based decision-making. Employees and managers can now take responsibility for their own information. We now have automated business processes that work consistently for everyone in our organization.

As both an admin and a user, our experience so far has been very positive. Most settings and configurations can be managed independently without needing to rely on the support team. Whenever assistance is required, Sense AI is available providing support through screenshots, live system checks and helpful suggestions. From a user perspective, all modules are easily at our fingertips, and the system is highly user-friendly with strong functionality.

Implementation of ECM, EFM and HRSD was not only a quick process, but in the end, has saved us a considerable amount of money while improving and automating processes. Processes like employee filing, routing of HR Change tickets and ultimately reducing our headcount needs in that functional area. We also just implemented WFM with success. Although this was not part of my team, (provided only as reference), it has been a huge success and has resulted in cost savings and efficiencies as well.
