We started from scratched and by now we started to automate the modelled process. We also managed to do the necessary documentation for our ISO audit. My overall experience with using Aris has been good. It helps me understand and map business processes in a clear way. The tool makes it very easy to find any gaps and improve workflows. At first, personally for me it took some time to learn the usage, but once I got used to it, it became very helpful for daily work. IBM Blueworks Live has been a practical way to get process mapping out of scattered documents and into a shared space that business and IT teams can actually work in together. Day to day, Blueworks Live feels like a heavy BPM suite and more like a collaborative whiteboard that happens to speak process language properly. Once key flows were captured there, onboarding new colleagues, explaining cross-team handoffs and reviewing changes became much easier than passing around outdated Visio diagrams or PowerPoints. The real value showed up during workshops: people could sit together, tweak steps in real time, add owners, inputs and immediately see the impact on the whole process instead of going back-and-forth for weeks over email. Our main issue was that critical processes lived in people's heads or in old diagrams that no one fully trusted anymore. Blueworks Live gave us a central place to document "how work really gets done" with clear start and end points, decision branches and responsibilites, so we could spot gaps and contradictions quickly.
