(1699 Ratings)

Dynatrace observability platform unifies logs, metrics, traces, and real user monitoring in a single pane of glass, with Davis AI automatically connecting the dots across your entire stack. This reduces the need for manual correlation and time to resolution significantly - though pricing and learning curve remain real barriers for teams just starting their observability journey.

My overall experience with New Relic has been very good. The dashboard is easy to use and provides clear insights into application performance. This helps to quickly identify and fix issues, and the alerts are reliable. The visualization of logs, metrics, and traces is very helpful, and overall it has improved the stability and performance of our applications.

It is the source of truth for our performance engineering. I often use the application performance monitoring and synthetic tab. The ability to link a failed synthetic API test directly to a backend trace ID has saved us countless hours of debugging intermittent issues. However, the billing model is complex, and you have to be extremely careful with custom metrics and log indexing, or the cost will explode.

My overall experience with AWS CloudWatch is positive. We use CloudWatch to monitor our managed service platform hosted in the AWS cloud environment, starting with basic instance-level metrics such as CPU utilization and Network I/O etc. For detailed monitoring, we deployed CloudWatch Agent on target servers to enable monitoring of additional metrics including memory utilization, logs, traces, and process or service monitoring. We also use CloudWatch to monitor other AWS services such as storage, database, and load balancer etc as its out-of-the box capability. We have integrated CloudWatch with external tools/systems (like observability tools) to collect monitoring data, configured threshold-based alerts and automated incident creation in our ITSM platform. Overall, CloudWatch provides reliable monitoring capabilities that align well with AWS-based infrastructure requirements.

We are using Manage Engine Application Manager Serviceability platform tool to monitor the health and uptime status for all our kinds of applications, services, server components, network CMDB services and overall AWS infrastructure services, including Security apps. IT helps to monitor business-critical systems' health, service status, performance threshold alerts, uptime utilisation reports, and a summarised view of all services from a single dashboard. Our use cases encompass monitoring various applications across resources to ensure optimal performance and proactive issue resolutions

Full stack alerting tool that does its job, but requires a lot of time and effort to set up properly and fine tune so you don't get overwhelmed with notifications and end up spending too much for log ingestion/storage. Fairly complex and it would be nice if it was simpler and quicker to get going and use. Navigating the Microsoft bill can be dreadful when you're trying to figure out what is causing your cost increases. Microsoft support leaves much to be desired.

Overall our experience with IBM Instana Observability has been positive as we have mainly been using it to monitor the server CPU, Memory and overall system performance in our environment. The dashboard is very easy to understand and the alerting works fine. I even had a section with the IBM during their visit to Hyderabad and learned so many features and labs sections
