I have been using SAP in my business planning role for our heat pump business in the uk for around 8 months now, and speaking of it my relationship with the tool have gone through a number of phases. First few months were a bit painful, I literally thought in a world led by AI driven solutions why this. the interface is not intuitive and there is no shortcut to learning it, you just have to put long hours in. Bit it clicked in over time, especially working with people having years of experience in it, it becomes indispensable. The nature of my job needs me to keep jumping back and forth between account level information: tracking what our installers and merchant partners are placing orders for, what has honestly been siting within the pipeline. where the gaps lie against our forecasts- and sap is one place where it all sits and lives in one place. I have heard from my teams, before we had proper visibility in the system, a lot of that reconciliation was happening in spreadsheets being emailed around, which was a nightmare for them to plan with long lead times and real constraints on the supply front. So to sum it up, it is not the prettiest of tools and I wouldnt call it enjoyable to use, but for some aspects of my role, i really struggle to function without it at this point.

Read all insights and reviews for Epicor KineticNetSuite ERP has evolved greatly over the years - the current state of the platform has internal solutions or third party applications available in most key business processes. In addition, the platform can be highly customized for a variety of types of business processes, and now also integrates with Oracle EPM as well. We have been able to scale from a single subsidiary with Millions in revenue to a multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, publicly traded company with over a Billion in revenue without switching platforms. We have purchased other companies, been purchased ourselves, and then spun off in an IPO within the same instance using NetSuite OneWorld. As we continue to scale, we see no need to change our ERP platform - instead, the platform continues to evolve with our business. We have a fantastic partnership with our Oracle / NetSuite Account Team and managed support services as well.
