Overall, I really like how MaintainX brings teams together to work as a cohesive unit. Work orders and procedures can tap multiple resources when needed automatically with very little oversight which brings efficiency to processes that could otherwise prove taxing and challenging.

The platform centralizes asset information, making it easier to track equipment history, schedule preventive maintenance, and improve visibility into maintenance activities. One of its strongest aspects is its ability to support asset-intensive organizations where the reliability and the traceability are very important and play a strong part in work progressing. The reporting capabilities and configurable workshops help standardize the maintenance processes and improve operational consistency and experience OPEX. The implementation and configuration management require careful planning, and new users may need time to become comfortable with the interface. Once established however, the platform offers a comprehensive solution for managing the asset lifecycle.

My overall experience with UpKeep Asset Operations Platform has been positive. We use it primarily to improve visibility into maintenance activities, equipment history, preventive maintenance execution, and spare parts management. Prior to using a dedicated asset management platform, much of our maintenance information was spread across spreadsheets, email threads, and locally managed records, which made it difficult to maintain consistency. The biggest challenge is not necessarily the software itself but maintaining consistent user behavior. The quality of the data depends heavily on how well technicians, planners, and supervisors document their work. When users enter detailed failure descriptions, corrective actions, and parts usage information, the system becomes much more valuable. When documentation is minimal, the historical record becomes less useful for reliability analysis and continuous improvement efforts. Overall, UpKeep has provided a solid foundation for maintenance management, asset visibility, and work order control, but organizations should recognize that process discipline is just as important as the software.

From my perspective as a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Analyst, the SAP S/4HANA program has been reliable when we follow a disciplined runbook and change process. I've worked across S1S/S1D/S1Q/S1R/S1P landscape (with corresponding HANA system IDs), and the platform has been stable for day-to-day operations, especially after post-refresh hardening steps are completed (BDLS conversions, STRUST distribution, SAML2 re-import, lock cleanup, TemSe consistency checks, and background job controls) Support Quality: - SAP Note guidance plus NS2 execution support has generally been effective for known issues (for example, BDLS large table handling and STRUST red-status remediation paths). - Where incidents are straightforward and note-backed, support outcomes are strong. For cross-team dependencies, turnaround is more variable. Integration Success: - Integration restoration after refresh has been workable but detail-heavy; SAML2, HTTPURLLOC, Concur connection maintenance, Ariba CIG reconfiguration steps, SAC CORS allowlists, and transport/domain checks. - Industry-observed: S/4HANA integration reliability is high when identity, certificates, and endpoint governance are managed as first-class operational controls, not post-go-live afterthoughts. The biggest practical value has been consistent low-environment refresh capability using production-like data, enabling more realistic testing and reducing avoidable defects before release.

Good system and highly customizable, both as a user and when setting up the org account. Takes some time to learn as a new user, but overall good experience. Analytics and reporting is great—easily create recurring custom reports to help with inventory management, change logs, and work scheduling.

Its strengths lie in preventive maintenance, asset register with parent child relationship, work schedule, strong alignment with inventory management and other EBS Modules. It delivers strong value through centralized asset management and streamlined maintenance processes. The analytics and reporting feature specifically integrated with ECC dashboard provides interactive real-time visibility

Octave is very thorough and they like to plan things ahead of time. This usually works out. Sometimes the actual execution takes a bit longer than expected. But overall, they do an excellent job. They also know the EAM product extremely well and have the team to support it no matter whether that is a new install, maintenance support, or integrations with other products. I am highly impressed with their staff, who listens to our ideas and concerns.
