1) The product is easy to navigate and use. 2) Arcserve Backup is a robust product and does not require much intervention once you start using it. 3) I like the automation where you can schedule the jobs once and thereafter you just monitor.
The dash board of the interface was intuitive and nice to look at. Provided good insights to backups that are completed and or failed. Client was easy to install on Hosts
It's a reliable and efficient backup solution especially for on premise environments.
1) Data restores start to slow down when you have bigger data files. 2) Licensing is very cumbersome and you always need Arcserve Support to assist. 3) Sometimes you are given an Engineer who does not understand the issue at hand and takes time to resolve the issue.
Inconsistent technical support help when issues arose on the system. Such as the backups failing after periods of time when they ran successful. Ran into a scenario where it crippled our entire Hyper V Host servers and locked up all the virtual machines
