Hiptest has very simple UI even a newbie can start working on Hiptest in no time, It has the ability to handle both manual and automation scripts in an organized way.
What I liked the most is that the tool can be used for free when we have less than 3 users. for example I have a team composed to 3 persons inculding me. That means that we did not have t pay to use the tool.
Hiptest for testers allows test process management from sprint start to sprint closure and extraction test cases to regression folders Sprint folders saves time for functional testing activities, for each test story we can handle validation and documentation independently, each task can be related to bugs and each test case can also be linked to automation test cases to implement automation
It is tough to manage the automation scripts through Hiptest platform
What I did not like the most in that particular tool is : - The reporting offered by the tool are not such interesting, that means if the developement or the business analysts need a detailled report with all the execution results, we will not beable to generate that. we need to improve that particular part and offer the possibilty to create more kind or reports depending to the complexity and the result run for each test case - Secondly, the link to Jira is too basic, which menas if for example we link a scenario to a Jira ticket and the test execution is failed or passed, the Jira is not updated automatically. - During the execution we don't have the possibility to add a comment for each step. We are able to add comment for all the scenario, which means that all the comment will be fusionned in one comment textbox
It is working great for me, I am yet to discover the ways to integrate BDD with Hiptest
