The original implementation was basic with poor screen navigation (no multiple windows open in a session) and no documentation on the backend (no table relationships or anything). We also implemented it on a Citrix server to limit client installs at it was using the Progress OpenEdge client and was not a web-type interface. initial setup was fairly basic, install it and load your data. Users didn't like it. When we upgraded to the most current version that had a small client footprint using .net based UI that allowed for more than one screen open at a time and navigation of menus was much better. Still no table/entity relationship documentation. Also it is impossible to upgrade from version 11 to 12 without the assistance of QAD's R&D group as the upgrade process destroys security including the sysadm login which is supposed to have access to everything.

It helps simplify the task flow of a new work order as it help to engage all the stakeholders in the process from raising an automated maintenance task to assignment to technician and getting the right approval , all requests are done automatically.
That it is already integrated with QAD out of the box.
It is effective tool in calculating various performance indicators and cost benefit analysis to help find whether spending on maintenance would be good or replacing or buying new asset. This helps in cost cutting on such activities in an efficient way.
It is not able to handle large number of requests as it does not have algorithm to prioritize the work orders based on various factors like role of technicians, availability and timelines of getting the work done.
Upgrading it. Upgrades shouldn't destroy security access for the one system required login that sets up everyone and everything else.
It cannot manage large number of asset data as it leads to low efficiency of assigning work orders and can lead to making the process even more cumbersome and error prone.
