The biggest benefit is performance. Once the CDN is active, you can clearly see the difference in speed. It integrates very smoothly with over AWS services like S3, ALB, and Route 53. Another strong point is scalability. We never had to worry about traffic spikes. CloudFront handled increases in load without manual intervention. Security options are also strong, features like signed URLs origin access control, and integration with WAF make it powerful for production environments.

Its edge servers are placed all over the globe resulting in quick, low latency information retrieval. It already secures and uses signed URLs but can also be used with other AWS services like Shield and WAF for enhanced security. You can also apply geo-restrictions. It also supports live streaming of videos.
The configuration can feel confusing at first. There are many small settings that affect caching behavior, and if you miss one, things don't behave the way you expect. Debugging cache issues sometimes takes time because you're not always sure whether the problem is coming from CloudFront or the origin.
Understanding why something is or isnt cached is not always obvious. Data transfer, regional mrincing can be hard to predict.
