Performance of GDevelop Across Market Features
GDevelop Likes & Dislikes
I like the event-based system which makes it easy to understand and start building right away, it's open-source and free which lowers the barrier to entry for experimentation, and finally the export options are really hands
With GDevelop, I like the powerful game engine where I can develop different types of games like Platformer, Top-down, Physics, 3D Platformer, 3D First Person, 3D Driving and Point and click. There's also the option to create from an existing FREE template or buy an existing template from the Marketplace.
Easy to use drag and drop interface with event-based logic Rich library of built-in behaviors, templates, and assets No coding required, yet flexible enough to create engaging games
The performance can struggle with larger or more complex situations, documentation is not as deep as other options but you'll be left searching the community forums, and finally fewer advanced features come to the other big ones, which can feel restrictive once you move past the starter levels.
GDevelop introduced an AI agent which tries to create an entire game from scratch. However, upon testing and recent tries, the AI agent does not consistently produce a useable game. There are still a lot of bugs and game mechanics that needs to be sorted.
Performance can lag with larger or more complex projects Limited customization options compared to full coding Documentation and community support could be stronger for advances features

GDevelop Offers Accessible Game Creation With Smooth Learning Curve And Event-Based System
GDevelop has been a pleasure to learn and understand building without having to dive into deep coding. It's approachable for beginners, but is still sufficient for complex projects allowing the projects to feel polished. Tis bee a smooth experience overall and even though sometimes it feels limited to a bigger engine, it still mechanically performs well on projects - SYSTEMS & METHODS HEAD, DATA PROTECTION<50M USDReal EstateReview Source
GDevelop Offers Versatile Game Creation But AI Agent Feature Needs Improvement
As I explored various no-code platforms for game development, I found GDevelop to be not only the most user-friendly option but also one of the most robust platforms available. It's accessible across multiple platforms—web, mobile, and tablet—making it incredibly convenient for me to use whether I'm at home or on the move. It involves a learning curve, as mastering advanced game controls necessitates scripting skills and a deep understanding of the various elements within the game. - APPLICATION MANAGER50M-1B USDMiscellaneousReview Source
GDevelop Simplifies Game Creation but Limits Flexibility for Complex Projects
GDevelop's drag and drop event system is intuitive and great for quick prototyping, but complex projects can face performance issues and limited flexibility compared to coding - ENGINEER50M-1B USDBankingReview Source
Beginner-Friendly Platform Enables Complex Game Development With Limited Advanced Guidance
its a beginer friendly, yet powerful enough to build surprisingly complex games. few areas can be better such as larger projects, advanced tutorials, etc. Overall, it makes development accesible. - IT ASSOCIATE<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Open Source Tool Offers Easy Creation but Has Limited 3D Graphics Features
It doesn't require programming skills, it's a bit easy to create, it's an open source solution and it allows the community to contmaiz.
