Keep Aware

It integrates seamlessly with our existing browser set, which meant we did not have to replace browsers or undertake a massive employee training effort. This was a significant differentiator for us. The product was exceptionally easy to implement and deploy, and we experienced no substantial operational overhead or complex tuning during the process. It was a very lightweight implementation. Despite being an early-stage company, I am very impressed with their roadmap and future vision; I really like where I believe they are headed with the product. Additionally, the platform provides granular control through the browser, allowing for actions like reauthentication or multi-factor authentication for specific access, which was incredibly impressive for us. The ease with which we could migrate our existing policy sets and groups was also a significant benefit. I also appreciate its effectiveness in enforcing security policies, such as copy-paste restrictions and data downloads, and its success in controlling access to unsanctioned SaaS applications. The high level of visibility and control it has given us to address previous security gaps is invaluable. Furthermore, its effectiveness at detecting and preventing threats without generating false positives has been fantastic. From an operational standpoint, the intuitive interface with its natural language construct means that even new analysts can quickly understand and utilize it without a steep learning curve. We also gain comprehensive visibility into all browser activity, including user actions, application usage, and risky trends, which provides a valuable high-level overview of activity within the company. The feedback from both IT administrators and end-users has been remarkably quiet, indicating that the product does not slow them down or cause issues, which I consider to be a strong positive. The rollout to approximately 3,000 users in just 3-4 weeks also highlights its lightweight and efficient deployment.

Very effective in data protection and threat detection

The Extension is lightweight, easy to install, and generally non-intrusive to the end user They are a true business partner and want to tailor the extension/product and their service to your company's needs They are agile enough to push out updates frequently and are quick to answer questions or help with settings and implementations.

Offhand, the main area I would like to see improved, and I believe it's likely on their roadmap, is greater integration with other cybersecurity tools within our ecosystem. Specifically, I'd like to see more direct and automated two-way integration with systems like Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and email security solutions to facilitate quicker action when needed. While they are developing API capabilities, the ability for the product to actively take action through these integrations would be a significant enhancement. Regarding service and support, I acknowledged some minor challenges. This is mainly due to them being a smaller, growing company that might not yet be able to respond at the same scale as larger vendors. I consider these normal growing pains and do not want to ding them hard for this. Otherwise, I have not encountered any significant limitations or challenges with the product so far, including policy granularity or user experience. There is also no specific feature from another product that I wish KeepAware had at the moment.

Not very user-friendly and scalable

Growing Pains: They are small and taking off. At times it seems their appetite is larger than their stomach. Not necessarily a bad thing - just an observation. Query Language: The query language used to gather data is still not super intuitive even after a few iterations. This can be curbed by just using it, but even after spending time with it I find some things odd. Small UI/Backend Bugs: Because of how 'new' it is and how agile they are - they do have a few display bugs that crop up, or some user mapping bugs (will vary based on your implementation of course) These are all minor 'dislikes' and will vary based on how you deploy it, or your use case for it. There is nothing major about this product that I would report on as a warning to anyone looking for a browser isolation technology.
