Pivotal CRM (Legacy) Likes & Dislikes
We use this in our company specifically for sales. It helps us to fill our target so faster. Here you can personalize your sales strategy. Very helpful to grow your business in terms of sales.
The dashboards are extremely customizable. If the system was actually properly maintained and not used to price gouge a captive customer clientele. It would serve a niche market well.
The fact that it is completely customisable
Its price is too high as compared to its alternatives. The support team is not well-groomed.
Unstable application. Extremely high and frequent price increases (think like 20%) Deprecation of value (moving you down in support tiers as part of creating new value-adding support offerings). Technological outdated. Their attempt to update the clients has resulted in you needing two different applications to support your sales peoples end to end process.
Due to the fact that we are on version 5.9 and version 6 is a complete change in language we have been unable to upgrade.

Unstable and poorly supported application. Not recommended for any type of customer.
An outdated software stack, poorly supported and barely held together by glue and nails. Having been acquired and sold again. The remaining customers are likely companies held hostage by their technological debt and unable to leave the platform. Each new owner is aggressively increasing the price of the product while depreciating the value provided by the product. The application is unstable and will consume most of your IT departments time, trying to fix. While their move to the UX client (webbased client) has been unsuccessful, requiring you to stay on multiple versions of the software to have basic functionality. - ITIO Analyst<50M USDSoftwareReview Source

-Understand and support 3X Factor. -Accessibility of Senior Leadership. -Even though ownership and staffing have changed over the years, it remains a very strong vendor relationship. - Software Technical Lead10B+ USDFinance (non-banking)Review Source
Very customizable, but the entire stack is very outdated.
The web client (Pivotal UX) is far from a polished product. It requires an unacceptable amount of custom coding to get the application to work with anything other than out of the box objects. The 'smart client' is a heavy, Windows Forms application, and the device client (for iPads) has very limited functionality. The toolkit applications haven't been updated in years - they look like they were written in VB6. The server tier runs on COM+. The entire stack is outdated.
