PTC Creo Likes & Dislikes
Electrical harness application support. 3D to 2D harness drawing conversion is very effective. Dimensioning and assembly is quite simple and easy. Compared to other CAD software it has some of the best in class rendering .
Absolutely nothing.
PTC Creo assists us in advanced parametric modeling and niche simulation which comes in handy while designing complex models with accuracy. This flexibility of the ability to modify designs is another interesting aspect of the game.
Limited interaction with non PTC tools User interface is not engaging like NX or solidworks License cost is more as compared to competition
Constantly breaks down. Issues ongoing, updates fix absolutely nothing. Does not work well with Windchill (the database we use it with).
I sometimes experienced instability with the rendering and simulation task at certain occasions that can be disruptive. At times experiences difficulty in managing large assemblies, which causes and as a result slow running and sometimes a crash.

PTC Creo Simplifies Electrical Harness Design and Streamlines 3D to 2D Conversion
PTC Creo is an excellent CAD software. I have used Creo extensively for creating harness drawings, BDR drawings and assemblies. It is very user friendly and takes off the load from the user. Files are easy to load and are less prone to get corrupt. - Engineering Specialist1B-10B USDManufacturingReview Source
PTC CreoView: A Detailed Examination of its Constant Failures
PTC Creoview has been the worst product I have ever worked with in any form of engineering/ manufacturing setting. There are constant failures that get bandaid fixes. It slow, it crashes, it's not user friendly one bit. I am not sure why it has not been removed from the company I work for. - Graphic Design Team Lead<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
Handle large assemblies with ease
PTC Creo is one of the most effective CAD tools that can be used for various design and engineering projects because it has a high level of accuracy and performance. All in all, it was a positive experience that makes me use this tool in many complex projects. - Associate Electrical System Design & Ana10B+ USDManufacturingReview Source
Key Features of Creo: Ease of Harness Design and Detailing
The level of clarity that Cero provides in executing 3D wire routing and 2D flattening is really good. Also, use the Creo schematics for the pin to pin wiring diagram. It's very helpful and easy to use for conceptualizing circuit diagrams. - Engineer10B+ USDManufacturingReview Source
Exploring Creo for Improved Electrical Routing and Installation
I'm using Creo for Electrical Routing and Installation drawings for most of the part and little GD&T dimensions as well. The visual experience is good in Creo for the Installation drawings and routing as well. I liked this software more for the connectivity between the Windchill and tool. It's very smooth and they communicate faster.
