I like how easy it is to synchronize data across different systems without requiring complex setup.The platform's automation and real-time syncing capabilities significantly reduce manual work and help maintain consistency across our tools.Its interface is also straightforward, making it simple for teams to manage integrations.
Data Quality Analytics: Not only can the product be used for daily operations like alerting the correct owners of data products/models, but the insight in the historical picture also gives us the possibility to use this tool for reporting to c-level on data quality. Fast development: The Synq team has not just developed a tool and then sat back and relaxed. The team is always interested in understanding their customers needs to develop a tool/product that actually fits the customers. Therefore features have been released multiple times during our 2,5 year of having the product. Quick support: If there are challenges or questions with the setup, the team are always quick to answer.
Using the dbt integration, we can use it to track issues throughout our DAG. This has also allowed us to really see column-level lineage for the first time. Their customer service is excellent and they are always willing to troubleshoot any issues that arise.
I don't like how some of the more advanced configuration options aren't as intuitive and can take extra time to fine-tune. There are moments when troubleshooting sync issues requires deeper technical digging than expected. Improving clarity around error messages and logs woruld make the experience even smoother.
The alerting can only be to a slack channel (with tags) or email. The product is being developed fast and with new features comes deprecation, sometimes a feature that you are using could be deprecated.
The UI takes some getting used to as it's not always intuitive. Their AI feature still needs some development.
