Strong integration, ties into SAG ESB stack, allowing rapid time-2-market and reduced learning curve.
Underlying Memory Management System ( off-heap ) on TerraCotta BigMemoryMax is being done in an excellant manner and it works like a charm. Especially considering the in-memory solution built on top Java Platform, the memory management was done in a robust fashion.
Debugging is not easy
Lagging state of art Admin and data-recovery capabilities
Basically, when you get into an issue in Production, sometimes, we dont have a clue what is causing this and it becomes tough to manage the situation. Thanks to Technical Architecture that is designed fault tolerant capability, we were able to manage couple of times, when we had issues.

Performance need to improve and HA does not work as expected. Restore take time.
Product has performance issue, and the HA is not work as what they claim. Bring out the nodes that 30 minute to 3 hours. It does not meet our RTO. It also required Local SSD to achieve the performance desired but from ITS data center point of view, we prefer SAN storage. SAG take too long to resolve the issue and the vendor we engage does not have sufficient in deep knowledge and most of the them they need to refer to R&D department. Design and Implementation of in-memory systems with BigMemoryMax was easy
Overall, the TerraCotta BigMemoryMax Product worked great meeting out stringent SLAs. We had to deliver our data to our upstream system(s), with an end to end SLA of 2 Sec with 4 major systems and two pass-through systems involved and contribute to cost savings for our business, and this product delivered what we were looking for. The only thing, I would bring out as an improvement area is a support offered by Software AG, they need to more vigilant about issues reported in production and devote more focus as soon as the issue is reported on live/production system. Of course, we need to agree they are diligent in creating ticket, tracking, follow-up and they are all appreciable factors, only thing is, software AG has to keep more focus as soon as the issue is reported on PROD and keep the momentum going until the issue is resolved.
