Swagger has many features that can make it stand apart. It is deployed within our environment and thus for each server we can specify different services and controllers and thereby maintaining isolation of information. It has a great capability to make API requests authorized by generating Bearer token through OAuth2 and password or OAuth2 and application pair. We can even provide a sample response and mark parameters as required or provide default values to each controller's service that can help user while testing APIs. It also provides an option to choose response type either in XML or JSON.
No version management of definitions and resources, which makes it hard to track changes and history.
The incredibly slow performance validating a schema and in particular when using complex JSON schema for the API data model or trying to implement common domain schemas for multiple APIs. The lack of support for OpenAPI 3.1 limited our use of the platform. Lack of any email notifications advising of upcoming renewals. On the plus side, easy to use interface. Easy to setup additional users and assign them roles.
Swagger is doing great. One thing that can be improved is official documentation, to make it easy for others to understand and implement.

They have considered almost all aspects of user experience while building this product. A swagger UI html file shows relevant information like title, version, description, path parameters, query parameters, headers, body etc. about services and controllers being deployed on environment. A simple tool to support collaborative authoring for REST API design, in OAS format
SwaggerHub provides all features for OAS authoring, in a collaborative manner, for REST APIs. However, it requires to use directly the OAS format, without wizard or intuitive interface for API designer, that could really help. In SaaS mode, we experienced few issues due to changes delivered by SmartBear (and not communicated).
