Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) Likes & Dislikes
- Fully supported by Red Hat on the OpenShift technology, with all the latest patch and updates. - Integration with Azure ecosystem, especially Microsoft Entra ID for Identity and Access Management. - Have whole management features for managing Kubernetes and have automation support using Ansible.
It is hybrid cloud friendly which connects on-prem data centers with azure cloud. Its integration is fairly seamless between Azure and Red Hat. ARO also brings the security features of both together for robust coverage around applications and data.
SDWAN Feature with security feature.
- Availability of Azure data center in Indonesia. Because of Indonesia government regulation of data residency, it would make adoption to Azure Red Hat OpenShift more massive. - A bit more effort on converting existing users to Azure ecosystem (on Microsoft Entra ID), but not too complicated. - Better competitive pricing, probably special offer to first time adopters, startup or SMEs.
As listed earlier, security features, Integration, and the cloud availability of features are most favored.
Microsoft Servies along with Akamai CDN which is not good
