Reviewer Insights for: Cisco Prime Network Registrar
Cisco Prime Network Registrar Likes & Dislikes
I like many of the products that Cisco Prime network offers including reliability, scalability, and centralized management. It also provides easy integration of DNS, DHCP, and IP addresses into a single platform that helps administrators ensure consistency and overall performance. The automation features improve the detailed reporting and reduce the manual tasks to improve visibility.
My favorite feature is that it was everything in one place, centralised, not required to go to three different administration consoles to look for ip's and information on the network. It is all gathered in one place. I also like the fact that we can automate processes via APIs and CLI scripting, very useful for repetitive tasks.
- reliable performance - the solution runs smoothly with minimal downtime - ease of use - the interface is intuitive and requires limited training - good support team - responses are generally quick and effective
As an administrator, what I dislike most about Cisco Prime Network Registrar is its complex initial setup and its configuration, which may provide challenges to new startup companies as well as administrators. Also, the user interfaces feel outdated and less intuitive compared to modern network management tools, and the licensing structure can be somewhat confusing.
It has a hard to learn user interface which requires time until the user gets used to where things are. I also dislike that is resource intensive and requires significant server resources to deploy it.
- limited customization options compared to competitors - deployment process could be more streamlined - documentation is not always comprehensive
