Ease of use, more or less the black-box approach and what you see is what you get. Also really like the way Keyfactor is acting as a company and the way you are approached. I created a full CA chain in minutes and can repeat steps easily, I did at first not needed help for any of the interfacing, but when encountering an issue, experts of keyfactor did help without ticketing Currently working for the first time with the EJBCA services/interfaces provided by default and all seem to work flawlessly and by design.
EJBCA is a complete toolbox for all our PKI needs, It has a goot API for automation and it is easy to configure and set up.
Ease of deployment, internal HSM:s in the appliance, good support
Can be less forgiven when a easy wrong (miss)click is provided in the interface. Also the possibility exists of two identical SuperAdmins/CAAdmins can be logged on at the same time, of course this requires a strict way of working with the product, but this could easily be eliminated by adding a login check. I've tested this in a DEV environment and we notices really weird behavior. Please only try this out in a DEV environment.
We encountered some bugs during deployment. The API had problems with parts of the configuration we needed, and there were some scalability issues. These issues are now fixed, or on the roadmap to get a fix.
Configuring remote PED for the HSM:s, that you have to use certificates to authenticate, a bit unclear documentation regarding the VA setup

The product is really intuitive for (minor) experienced users, nonetheless it is really extensive in its options and you may need in depth PKI experience to set a enterprise CA up as a whole. In my 20+ years of extensive PKI builds and management, this product looks and feels easy.
