Before Harness CCM focus on providing insights to Developer and Application teams along with leadership . For so long Cost Management got stuck in between Finance teams and leadership . This product broke the barriers by introducing automation capabilities that can actively reduce the cost and take care of the anomalies and do effective idle time management and waste mangement of cloud resources. I also like how Harness CCM provides out of box insights at Name space and service level granularity in a shared kubernetes cluster
Easy use interface. Recommendations around Kubernetes optimizations are informative and easy to adjust based on our needs
Once set up, the product was simple enough that non-technical people were able to make their own perspectives. The connectors are relatively straightforward to set up and consistently pull in the information needed for visualizations. Liked the ability to pull in kubernetes cluster costs and put those alongside cloud costs. Harness has the ability to calculate how much a service or deployment costs based on their resourcing. This gave us an overall cohesive view of a microservice's cost.
There was no API support to automatically set Connectors when we integrated
Customer support is subpar. They closed the deal and haven't been doing much since.
The product could use more native integrations with other development costs beyond cloud costs. For example, our teams would love to be able to integrate CCM with our other vendors who manage our metrics, logging, alerting, etc. It would also be nice to pull in Harness costs into CCM, such as a way to calculate the cost per service instance and attach that to a perspective. Autostopping was difficult to get working. While initially simple to set up, it was apparent that not all the features were fully fleshed out yet. We ran into issues with the traffic detection not working, the ability to pause and unpause autostopping rules, and fixed schedules not exactly working. It would also be great if autostopping had the feature to reduce a kubernetes service to a single pod, rather than taking the entire service offline. Recommendations could be more fully fleshed out. Some of the savings being displayed were not entirely accurate, as we it took the highest number of instances used that month even though we had scaled it up and down respectively.

Harness CCM with Autostopping and Anomaly detection makes all the difference
I totally like this product vision and roadmap . Though some of the features like connector setup are not fully blown to implement in large enterprises, Roadmap is pretty solid to become an industry leader - Director, Enterprise DevOps Platform10B+ USDRetailReview Source

Harness CCM Provides Great Visualizations for Cloud Cost Spend
Harness CCM provided our team the ability to view our AWS Cloud spending in one centralized location. Our team has multiple AWS accounts that have their unique charges, and CCM allowed us to set up centralized dashboards and perspectives that give us the insight to where we are spending our money. Through the use of our tagging strategy, we were able to pull our AWS tags into CCM and create perspectives for each individual microservice we host. This allowed us to find out which services we were spending the most on, and work with the development teams to reduce costs. Perspectives were relatively simple to set up, and while not including all the functionalities of AWS Cost Explorer, allowed us to quickly visualize our cloud spending. - VPE50M-1B USDSoftwareReview Source
There is no free lunch in cloud cost optimizations, but Harness CCM helps a lot.
Great end to end experience from POC, installation, delivery, and use. Furthermore, the CCM product allows us to simply monitor and control cost over all 3 major cloud vendors on daily basis. - Staff Service Reliability Engineer1B-10B USDIT ServicesReview Source
Great tool for automation!
We initially were considering Harness for a continuous delivery solution. As we initially started onboarding to Harness, we ran into a lot of questions. Harness has nice documentations, but we don't always know where to look; this is when their support engineers such as Ilan and Jeremy shine, they are technical, responsive, and professional, always there guiding us along the way. We were using their on-prem solution, the biggest pain point is to look into issues when there is issues with the platform, as we aren't the expert on how Harness works in the backend, as mentioned previously luckily Harness has great customer support, always there to hop onto zoom sessions to make sure our issues are taken care of. As we venture into the journey, we slowly learned the power of Harness and what it can do. We were able to create a sophiscated automation pipeline to automate cluster creation that matches with our security standards To sum up, I am glad that we have chosen Harness to be our continuous delivery solution, which became an important piece of technology used to delivery and ship our product reliably.
