I give this product only 4 stars solely because, for optimal performance, it requires extensive configuration of the platform's rules. QRadar as a platform offers broad visibility across the infrastructure, but the base product can be seen as a blank canvas. It takes work and experience to turn this tool into one of the most effective SIEMs of our time. One of the out standing things about it is the ability to combine SIEM, SOAR, TI and user behavior analytics in one ecosystem. On the downside note, the API-based integrations are less polished compared to other SIEM tools and platform scaling requires careful planning and resources. Core detection is not affected by this problem, but can influence how easily teams can automate or extend the system. Overall, the platform reflects strong confidence in its threat detection capabilities and suitability for complex environments. The automated correlation and visual investigation graphs ahve drastically reduced incident triage time and alert fatigue. On the other hand, custom log parsing for less common data requires manual tuning and UI performance can lag under very high query loads. Pricing and storage tiers are on the premium side for heavy log retention.
