Performance of Maya Across Market Features
Maya Likes & Dislikes
The ease of use is very intuitive with a nice interface that makes onboarding quick, the strong performance it runs smoothly with very minimal glitches, with great support when it is needed and very helpful all the time.
I mostly like the 3D modelling and its rendering capabilities which makes this product great for gaming design. It also provides great features for beginners to do small animations.
The rich settings and configurations give you precise and powerful control creating the 3D model and animation. USD supports convenient working with other 3D tools.
The limited customization doesn't allow for some of the freed-up flexibility, and the reporting tool's overall functionality could be more advanced for ease of use. Finally, the learning curve can take some time getting used to and fully understanding all of the features.
What I dislike most are, 1. It's a steep learning curve, which makes it challenging for beginners. 2. The software is resource intensive which requires high hardware configurations. 3. Updates can cause stability issues with the software installed. 4. Sometimes the software crashes while using it.
The rich configuration and settings make the learning curve significant. It needs dedicated time and training to master Maya proficiently, otherwise you will feel it's really hard to use.
