Palo Alto Networks Medical IoT Security Likes & Dislikes
I like how easy is to integrate and the amount of data it gets after only 24 hours of time.
Easy deployment
User interface is exceptional, integrates with our existing Palo Alto strategy, easy to navigate and obtain information.
We found that some feature were lacking support for multi-selection at device/alert level. This is, however, expected to be enhanced in future releases. On the other hand, we would like to see vulnerability scanners and NAC integrations free of charge, already embedded in the tool with no need for an add-on purchase.
Integrations , documentation and support.
Inability to whitelist vulnerability scanners; Inability to bulk close incidents; Palo Alto support team unfamiliarity with product from a support standpoint.

A Zingbox Implementation - One Provider's Perspective
We recently conducted a formal RFI/RFP to find an technology platform who can help automate the discovery and identification of our medical devices, industrial control systems, and other Internet of Things devices. We needed a solution that did not require credentials to authenticate to the device or require the installation of some from of agent -- both of which are plagued with challenges with these types of devices. Zingbox (ZB) was one of the may vendors we evaluated through this process, and I was very intrigued by the passive position they take to identify devices. Following review, we concluded this is still a very new market with many of the leaders continuing to evolve and mature their products. From the group of industry leaders, we felt Zingbox was one of the most mature from both the technical aspects of their platform and the human element of support. This led us to do a formal pilot of ZB in one of our production sites to truly evaluate how well of a job they could do with our devices and the nuances of our network infrastructure. Overall, we were very pleased with the results and ZB's ability to identify devices down to a make/model level as well as data capture that formed a baseline of what 'normal' looks like from a network traffic perspective, at a device level. In turn, we could alert on deviations. It's no secret healthcare moves slow and the adoption of change can take years. While a significant emphasis and cry for better security is being made to medical device manufacturers and other non-traditional IT industries, the fact is that it will take years to raise the bar to a level we've grown to expect with our traditional IT systems (e.g., servers, PCs). As such, providers must do what they can to protect themselves now such as using ZB. - Security Systems engineer<50M USDIT ServicesReview Source
