I enjoy the usability of the platform, the transparency provided to our freight invoices and the reporting capabilities that are afforded through the use of this platform.
Invoice Audit, Contract Fetching, and Real Time Tracking. Invoice Auditing is an excellent feature that allows cost avoidance for unnecessary charges that we once paid but no longer do. Contract Fetching allows us to make logical decisions on how to route our shipments based on cost, transit time, and other factors (Congestion/strikes or other supply chain disruptions). Real Time Tracking allows us to show customers at any given time the exact location of where their products are at.
The reporting capabilities that we have access to now with PANDO are much better than anything we had before. A lot of our processes before were very manual and now with PANDO it has freed up some of our time so we can focus on the important day to day responsibilities. Also, the tracking capabilities we have in PANDO now give us the ability to know exactly where our containers are at all times. The freight audit system is also a very cool feature. Year to date, we have saved close to $X from the freight audit system catching invoice errors from our vendors.
Rulemaking can be a bit tedious as the number of potential charges varies significantly by vendor. Invoice costing is only available after specific milestones have been completed, which can complicate invoice processing and errors can be somewhat difficult to diagnose.
Some of the changes we wanted along the way did not occur. However, overall, the Pando team has been accommodating, supportive, and really easy to work with. The Onboarding Process was very thorough, and the Pando Team had a deep understanding of what our needs were and did an excellent job delivering a product to address those needs.
Within the invoice section it would be nice if you could look at all the invoices at once and not have to filter by payment due date, which only allows you to see month by month. I know this is being worked on, but sometimes after containers arrive into the Port of Discharge it does not show you tracking afterwards when the container moves on the rail. For visibility purposes, it would be great if the system could provide that.

Pando Transforms Visibility in Financial Auditing and Shipping
Pando has significantly improved our visibility across the board. Financially we have the ability to audit invoices and see each specific charge. This has generated significant cost savings as we can now reject invoices where we were billed incorrectly and send back to the provider to send the revised invoice with the correct charges. Prior to Pando we were manually checking invoices but with so many assessorial charges we were accepting, we were paying a lot of money that we are no longer paying. In addition to Invoice Auditing, we have the Contract Fetching feature which allows us to select routing based on the destination. This shows us the cost and routing options we have to select from. With just a simple click of a button we can book our shipments making the most logical decision taking into account transit time, cost, or other factors such as a port strike/rail congestion. The other thing that is nice is being able to tell our sales team and customers in real time exactly where their products are at. Prior to Pando we were giving ETAs based off of what a steamship lines tracking website had posted, however these were not always updated as quickly as people would ask for updated tracking information.
