Profisee Platform

We use Profisee to master customer data across a very complex enterprise environment. Overall, the platform has been effective in helping us establish governance processes and improve visibility into customer relationships. The strongest aspects of the solution are its flexibility, governance capabilities, and visualization. We have been able to implement multi-step workflows with automated email notifications. The platform also makes it straightforward to configure and maintain both very simple and more complex data quality rules. In addition, Profisee provides strong visualization capabilities for understanding and managing complex relationships across our customer data landscape, which has been one of the biggest values for our master data team. One limitation we encountered is that very large match clusters can become difficult to visualize, as there are limits to how many related records can be rendered at once. While this affects only a subset of our data, it can make investigation of large duplicate groups more challenging. We also learned that data modeling decisions can have a significant impact on record volumes and, therefore, licensing costs. In our case, our implementation generated substantially more records than initially anticipated. This was more a result of our design choices and limited experience with MDM modeling than a shortcoming of the software itself. But it is something prospective customers should evaluate carefully during planning. Overall, Profisee has been a capable MDM platform for mastering customer data, particularly with its configurable workflows, flexible quality rules, and visibility into complex data relationships.
