I use Trendminer as a user, to browse tag values, set up snapshots, view long term trends and do root-cause problem solving cases. I have historically used many different tools, softwares and visualization aides - and Trendminer is a shining and smooth pearl in a sea of sharp rocks. The web-based UI easily connects to our data warehouses and process a tremendous amount of data to satisfying visuals and trends with puzzling smoothness. I once tried, for curiosity's sake to pull up 21 years worth of time of a self made tag that calculates every minute a moving average over 24 hours. (to 6 figure precision). That is a fairly heavy load on both calculation and visual interpolation. It did demand a slight delay, but it was far removed from the system crasher it should have been. The real big problem of MES Valor is the interoperability with others enterprise systems in a Global Solution. I mean the MES is not natively integrated with Siemens PLM and Cloud. We faced some problems in connecting to standard equipments.
