1- it makes it easier to see when something unusual happens in the data, like missing values or unexpected changes in volume. 2- Instead of manually verifying datasets every day, the automated alerts help me identify when something looks wrong. 3- When multiple pipelines are running, I like having a single place where I can quickly see if everything is working as expected instead of having to open and check several different tools.
Being so comprehensive and fully integrated, the UI is quite user friendly and easy to navigate. The end-to-end lineage and data checks are impressive. Moreover, its AI powered monitoring with fast implementation makes it exceptional.
- Their easy data source connector will get you set up in a matter of hours. They are connected to loads of different data sources, and even have a universal adapter for manual declarations or sources they don't support yet. - The easy to use UI makes it simple to use and easy to navigate to the areas you need. You can customise domains which means only certain people can see certain assets. - The documentation for using the tool as well as their API are second to none. It's all very simple to use but if you do ever need to use the docs, they're incredibly helpful. - The customer service, engagement, and passion when interacting with Sifflet is amazing. They're genuinely invested in your success and it feels like you're forging a better data future together.
1- Sometimes when an alert is triggered, I still need to dig deeper in other tools to fully understand the root cause. 2- Setting up monitoring rules that match the real behavior of the data took some trial and error. 3- I sometimes wished for more Real life examples or step by step scenarios, especially when configuring more advanced monitoring rules.
The customization is limited and already fixed, not flexible. The implementation for large scale can be cumbersome. Sometimes it gives false positive alerts which are not only a waste of time but hard to explain. Few implementation gaps can exist that vary tool to tool.
In complex stacks where the lineage can be very long, it can be harder to navigate to the specific area in the stack you want. The lineage is there, you just have to navigate through lots of relationships, assets, intermediate/supporting assets etc.
