Ease of use
Getting VDP up and running is a relatively easy task, as once installed, VDP is managed through the familiar vSphere interface. Backup jobs are configured with a wizard that helps the user set policies set for target, schedule, retention and other relevant components.
Its a little bit delicate on the first configuration with the DNS, for larger enterprises there is no problems with this, but, some times, in small deployments, where the costumers don't have a domain or a dedicated DNS server it can be a little tricky to set it up.
Configurability is a little cumbersome.
No single pane of management for large backup environments

The easy of use is one that must be appreciated with VDP and it's extended support for several plugins, which makes it a user friendly software to be implemented across an organisation. However backup takes a very long time, not only in VDP, also in several data protection tools, it could've been better. Also i feel it's too expensive to taken care of.
