What we like most about this product is its reliability. We use IBM Storage Protect to secure our data, spictera SOFS solution is a life saver because it can reduce the chance of losing data.
Very reliable, fast backup processing and covers most enterprise products today
We were looking for a simple solution to put into place, which Defender DataProtect ready nodes provide. The simplicity of physically installing, bringing up the images and creating the cluster is truly a simple task. Being a small team, we needed the solution to be easy to manage which it is. And with the increase in various threats all over the IT world, this solution adds a definitive advantage to our overall protection.
Complex Setup. Users find the complex setup of IBM Storage Protection frustrating and time consuming during their initial experience.
Early access features usually requires help from support
At the time of writing this review, the official IBM documentation was lacking and we referred to other documentation in order to fully understand and configure the solution. For people used to other IBM protection solutions, such as IBM Storage Protect, the online community is not up to par yet. It also gets confusing on the multiple options available now from IBM for data-protection. What replaces what and what adds that extra protection. Hopefully IBM will start clearing that up in the near future.
