I like the consistent performance of EMS. In the three years I have used EMS, we have not seen any major glitches or performance issues, which allows us to manage our customer relationships and event space efficiently. I also like that when I first started using EMS three years ago, Accruent offered a self-paced training library. This training tool was instrumental in my onboarding and allowed me to quickly become proficient in using the software. We have a total of four buildings using EMS to manage event reservations and I like that we can all use the software differently to achieve our unique goals and objectives.
The standout strength of this product is the high level of customization available. The parameters, room and building settings, and everyday user templates are organized to maximize flexibility and customization, which has allowed us to be successful in implementing the product across diverse business units. The EMS Web App also excels in its updated and user-friendly experience. Finally, the report generation structure is comprehensive.
The ability to reserve rooms online and still have approvers. The ability to tag others in the notes which streamlines timelines when our staff aren't working the same hours. The ability to invoice and apply payments directly to each invoice.
Creating custom reports can be difficult and time consuming. Perhaps there are training tools that I've overlooked that would help us create custom reports more efficiently, but I definitely think creating reports should be easier and more intuitive.
The EMS DTC leaves a lot to be desired in terms of the user experience. It is difficult and very clunky to train users in. The HRTK is also difficult to set up and requires frequent adjustments. Most of all, the Microsoft Outlook/ Exchange integration is incredibly difficult to set up and manage, and severely lacks documentation.
The UI of the desktop module looks like it was last updated in the 90s. When deleting specific bookings in a reservation, you have to cancel them first. Emailing from the desktop module requires a static IP address, so I cannot do that when working from home and working from the office. I have to pick one.
