I like the use of its accurate algorithm for data collection and the granularity in the creation of segments.
1. The platform's data model is extremely flexible. We have several layers of relationships and the platform could fit to our needs. We're also able to continuously add in new tables/data as needed. 2. ActionIQ's ability to scale (handle large audience sized) has been excellent. 3. Ease of use. We've been able to onboard many non-technical users and they've all become self-sufficient within a couple of hours of playing around/building audiences. 4. With ActionIQ's composability (called Hybrid Compute), we've been able to take new tables from our data warehouse and within 10 minutes start setting up audiences and testing on the new data source. We've drastically reduced the time it takes to get new data to market. 5. We have a complex portfolio of products and customers may have one, or they have have 5. ActionIQ lets us quickly and easily micro-segment our customer base based on campaign needs.
What I like most about the product includes: 1) provides the ability to execute our 1st party data strategy. This has been one of our most critical initiatives over the last couple of years and having a vendor and product that has enabled us to navigate and meet our objectives to leverage 1st party data has been key 2) Hybrid Compute - a flexible, scalable architecture that has been one of our core principles in building out our latest stack iteration, and we believe this gives us a critical foundation to most optimally evolve our stack over time. The ability to leverage our own data foundation to make it extensible with zero-copy architecture and savings in overhead that will bring, is a core benefit to the product 3) The product is business persona friendly. This has been critical as we look to democratize data usage and reduce the need for technical teams to manage activation activity. Assuring that a broader set of users/stakeholders beyond our technical teams can leverage data with self-service capabilities is very much a key aspect to our usage
Enhance the policy feature for easier management of policy removal for any user.
1. If you don't leverage ActionIQ's hybrid compute functionality, updates and changes to the data model require going through their professional services team which takes time and uses hours. 2. When exporting audiences, if you're exporting columns that could relate to multiple rows of data for the same person, a random value is picked unless specified via a custom attribute. Ideally, the same backend SQL used to generate the audience definition should be used for the export. 3. No data previews directly in the UI of the platform. You must export data to a .csv or other channel to preview it. 4. Integration setups require coordinating with professional services. There's no admin-ui where I can plug in API credentials to establish a connection as an end-user.
the biggest weakness I've experienced with the platform are its reporting and analytic capabilities for the platform. Rather than being able self-serve the reporting outcomes I need to see on how we're using and activating with the platform, it is still a ticketing system approach. The vendor has very much acknowledged this deficit and has been welcoming with critical feedback so they can improve this product component on their roadmap. I fully expect to see big changes here in the coming year
