The global reach and reliability of AT&T WAN services are the most valuable aspects for us.Their ability to provide consistent service levels across different regions, combined with strong SLAs, has given us confidence in supporting business-critical applications. In addition, the customer support team has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever we needed assistance.
Global reach and reliability was consistent and stable across all regions we work in. Strong data controls and throughput were available.
The best things about the product is the network performance, it is truly optimized and delivers consistent high performance. The service is very secure and had been designed with security in mind first by their designers. Management and monitoring is central and easy to use (even though dated). Our account team is excellent and we could not have gotten a better team that truly delivers.
The pricing structure can be complex compared to some competitors, and in certain regions the implementation process took longer than expected due to local dependencies. Additionallu, the customer portale could be more intuitive and provide deeper visibility into usage and performance analitycs.
Support response time had delays and several transfers occurred to get knowledgeable assistance to resolve our issues. This has caused some billing inconsistencies on our end.
The things we disliked most is that it is not a cheap service as it is a little costly. Customer service is challenging until you get to the right person which is not an easy task there sometimes. Their business portal for customers is really dated and is in need of a major overhaul, it is painful to use at times. The vendor management and contract negotiation piece was long and slow as it took a bit of going back and forth which took weeks. Their billing is not good and took an act of god for all of us to get on the same page.

Once you manage to get through all of the initial paperwork, vendor documentation and contract negotiation (which was trying at times), it was a great experience. AT&T Global WAN has been a very strong service when I used it in the US and Europe. It was easy to get connected and seemed to provide great service. On a work trip to New York, it connected quickly and everything worked well.
