1. The user interface and algorithms are intuitive. The help files are very informative, but I rarely use them. That's because the data fields and software functionality align perfectly with the way we solve supply chain design problems. 2. Native collaboration capabilities within the modeling interface. I can see what my team is working on, edit when necessary, or make copies and run scenarios on my own. I believe my team is more collaborative and have improved their modeling skills by being able to work together easily. 3. Model validation and debugging is surprisingly straightforward. I don't have to learn how to trick the model to work. When I have an error, it's easy to find and fix. When I have an infeasible model the the available tools make it simple to diagnose and resolve. I spend less time debugging models in Foresta than I did in other tools.
Customizability, comprehensiveness of modules within Foresta platform
1. Foresta does not have a user-defined costs or user-defined constraints table, this could limit our modeling, but has not at this time. 2. Foresta doesn't have an easy method to decide what size solver/machine I should use for my problem, as-in could I get by with a smaller server/solver? This has not been an issue, but could be in the future if we needed bigger machines to solve our problems 3. I don't do much editing of data in the table interface. I generally use the edit in google sheets feature (which is nice), but I don't believe the in-table editing is as easy as other tools.
Still a smaller player, but growing in the market; somewhat more rigid UI layout compared to other platforms (though can get around this with embedded PowerBI or Tableau)
