IDrive Likes & Dislikes
Backup client is lightweight (uses minimal system resources), it's non-intrusive for day-to-day work and is easily customizable. Once it is setup, it's very much set it and forget it.
It's cheap when compared to other online backup solutions. It also has its own client. There are some other cheap options but they don't have a native client.
I really like the price it is for what we need. so many services seem to break the bank these days and Idrive helps out in that department. I like how it has a strong feature set with its sync capabilities and how it works across multiple devices. It also seems to be a very secure product with AES-256 out of the box
The company offers a lot of options, which can be confusing and overwhelming for some users. Setup can also be confusing if you're unsure of your setup or needs.
It's a little low end feeling, but again it's a cheap easy option so...
the service could do better in slow backup and restore speeds, but I see how that could be on the end user where we are limited to the pipes we have for bandwidth. There are occasional failures now and then for backup jobs. customer support can be iffy at times as well.

It is an important part of our data backup solution. Has saved us a few times from lost data. Once it's running, it doesn't require much attention.
