For small and simple things, Retool is great - lets your provide an internal dashboard/tool quickly and easily. For larger things, Retool apps become extremely cumbersome to maintain, nearly impossible to test aside from manually, and impossible to collaborate on when git-backed. Additionally, for critical purposes, we've encountered multiple retool bugs that had devastating consequences - which have taught us that we simply cannot depend upon it in an emergency.

The power of customization! Retool allows for endless customization. If you are ever faced with a limitation, Retool can likely offer a solution. The platform is user friendly and deployment was an ease, the integration with Shopify was very easy.
That the retool database is rather limited in handling big amounts of data.
It is nearly impossible to work with in a traditional software development process.
Pricing model is based on users, we have some users who are seldom in the app but still need access.

The system as a whole is extremely well setup, with clearly a lot of consideration going into how the different features of the system interact with each other. The way everything is able to reference anything within the app and auto update in reaction to changes, makes the system feel a lot like using a spreadsheet, but on steroids. I would say the system is the perfect balance of customizability, by being able to write JavaScript anywhere to fine tune the behavior of anything, and premade functionality that you don't have to think about.
