I think the best fit was FIORI and due to that the team was successful for the implementation as it is their own product.
II like the fact you have all services mapped in there and all the departments can integrate their data. Furthermore, the possibility to automate even more processes using script, VBA and excel. The automatisation with scripts are very easy to implement and you can even record it! So you will have the code ready just to run. It's also easy to create an interface with excel and import/export data.
24*7 support and monitoring . Timely upgrades and rollouts . IBM has the industry knowledge and domain expertise which made the investment yield positive.
Change request was difficult to handled by team members and on the top of that limitation of the platform.
The interface is not very intuitive and people usually have problems with that. Sometimes it crashes and no one understands why. Some erros are still general (shows the same error message) and it's hard to find its source.
Initial cost is high. Knowledgeable consultants are not available locally and hence we need to connect with other consultants remotely which may not give the desired kind of results which is being expected.

The only problem with SAP is the people who use it
SAP is a very useful tool for management and integration of data. My experience using this program showed me how essential it is for a company to have a powerful tool to map its processes. Most of the problems I had and saw on SAP were related to how people use it. For example: errors in the registration of a client, or information missing. Only one thing bother me it is the "general" interface for multiple processes. Because the text fields sometimes have the same label, but depending on the transaction it means something different. Sometimes I get confused, but I understand, it's the idea of the plataform to integrate various steps. On the other hand, the automatisation with scripts are very easy to implement and you can even record it! So you will have the code ready just to run. It's also easy to create an interface with excel and import/export data. Overall SAP is a management application which I truly recommend. - Sales Operations Manager50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source
SAP - AMS with IBM....Great Combination
SAP usually assign an implementation and support partner for such services. With one of our client IBM was working as AMS partner and the experience was quite good. Our client was using SAP A1 with IBM pureflex as infrastructure. The combination was one of the most unique and robost one. They have sound knowledge of various modules integration and ERP environment. SAP has streamlined the entire business process and with the Managed Services the processes and the practices are already being taken care by the support partner. The initial investment was big for the implementation but due to successful implementation the ROI was high. - Information Technology1B-10B USDEnergy and UtilitiesReview Source
Excellent Service through SAP Premium Support Services (Active Embeded Support)
We get very good and timely support with selected Experienced Consultants, as the Account manager maitains a very good contact and understanding with us. The team updates on the roadmap, identifies project and dependencies etc. Guides on the Resource requirements and the cautions to be taken. gives exposure with other customers journey and experience and bring others to our place as well.Guide us for national and international recognitions and awards. the OFIs are For New Solutions we find lack of knowledgeable consultants availability loaclly i.e. within the country. hence in those cases remote support becomes not so effective. Lack of guidance on Custom Dvelopments. - VP/CIO50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
Reach successfully completed S4/HANA 1610 ERP system implementation in 6 months
The project scope includes using S4/HANA ERP (Simple Finance & Simple Logistics), BO4.0; FIORI 2.0; SAP Solution Manager 7.2, DMS integrated to QM to ensure GMP compliance, custom BO data model, interface to China VAT system, custom lot & serialization numbering table for product labels to meet US UDI and China national standard for medical devices; and develop a global template for roll out to group companies in phase2. Project time line was planned for 6 months, from June 29 2016 to Jan 9 2017; using cloud based system hardware from SAP partner. Despite hardware changes from cloud to on premise own hardware system, SAP Digital Business Team took advantage of the hardware system change over, spent a week to manually upgrade global template based on S4/HANA 1602 to S4/HANA 1610 (released end October 2016), and successfully went live on Jan 6, 2017, 3 days ahead of original schedule. First day sales orders total RMB 4.0 million, and all VAT billings were successfully issued the following 2 days, when all orders were shipped. Implementation followed SDLC model, and CSV is completed when system goes live. SAP team worked very hard with users to ensure project success; and continue to provide post support during first month end closing, and also collaborated with SAP lab in China and Germany to address initial system bugs, providing SP1 and SP2 solutions to address all identified bugs. The Reach projecvt is the first medical device company that completed S4/HANA 1610 ERP implementation in Asia (if not the world); before SAP, Reach used Ufida U8 system.
