Skilljar Likes & Dislikes
We did like how skilljar has an integration with salesforce. We also loved the straightforward certificate sharing to Linkedin, this is what was missing in our old solution.
1. Skilljar is straightforward and organized because it offers clear course paths, easy navigation, and helpful tools that allow users to plan, track, and complete their training efficiently. It simplifies the learning process by guiding users step-by-step and providing relevant course recommendations based on their needs. 2. Skilljar is easy to use because it offers customizable paths, allowing users to tailor their courses to fit their specific goals and needs. This flexibility helps learners focus on what's most relevant to them, making the training process more efficient and personalized. 3. Skilljar offers both self-paced and instructor-led training allowing users to learn at their own speed while also benefiting from expert guidance when needed. This flexibility caters to different learning styles and schedules.
The ability to create multiple domains, learning paths and courses, and assign them to different users and user groups. The ability to create reusable assets that can be used across various domains, learning paths and courses. API for data export, including rich media export.
Pulling data from salesforce requires a middleware like zapier or workato During the handover from POC to onboarding we had to duplicate efforts and meet with an implementation manager who needed time to understand our use cases Quite expensive overall
1. It can be expensive, especially for smaller organizations or those with limited budgets. The pricing model can be prohibitive if you're looking for a cost-effective solution. 2. Sometimes, the course catalog is limited, especially if you're looking for niche or highly specialized topics. However, it still covers a broad range of essential subjects. The interface can feel a bit basic and could benefit from more customizable options, but it still functions well and is easy to navigate. 3. Sometimes, it lacks advanced search filters, making it a bit harder to find specific courses quickly, though the overall content is still good. 4. It does not offer a native mobile app for learners. While the platform is mobile-responsive, the experience is limited to what can be done within a mobile browser.
Reporting is very basic. The ability to create dashboards at a learning path level for tracking multiple parameters for each learner would be useful. Also, exporting data from the admin panel is not possible, every export will generate a CSV that is sent to your email inbox. Finally, automatic follow up capabilities are rudimentary. Best it can do is define how many email follow ups you want to send for a given course or learning path before the deadline, rather than the ability to send custom follow up emails based on what was completed by the learner already.

Smart investing in training modules for Growth.
I've been using Skilljar for my reviews in Certification and Training. I love how this learning site was designed. I always want to invest in my knowledge. so I searched for an LMS or learning site where I could start and plan my path. At first, I was confused about which path to take. But when I found Skilljar, it became much easier for me to choose the courses I wanted and needed for my current job as an SD-WAN Support Engineer. After taking a course, I was also given tips on other courses I could take that were related to my work. Moreover, I can now plan my training more efficiently because there's already a path laid out. It's also easier for me to track the training and certifications I've completed. But something that I think is missing is the discussion forum or social learning tools. Unlike other LMS platforms, you can write your own questions, suggestions or even start a discussion regarding a particular topic to be able to interact with other users within the platform. - Solutions Engineer50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source
