Global coverage and network reliability is one of the most important things we experienced. Latency is consistent, and we have seen fewer outages compared to our previous provider. Customer portal is easy to navigate through which facilitate the monitoring process and usage and open support tickets. it also has the flexibility and ability to scale bandwidth up or down, which has been very helpful and fruitful when supporting new remote sites.
What we liked about the Managed SD-WAN: The centralized management (for what we could control) was good and easy to use. When we did not have circuit issues (mostly dedicated circuits), it worked wonderfully. The secondary FIOS broadband lines were excellent, no issues (or minimal). The planning and deployment of the solution was quick and easy.
The signal strength in urban areas are solid and reliable. Setting up a service or expanding a service is easy and quick. When able to speak with a representative, the support is top notch.
The support response times can take longer than expected during peak incidents. Resolutions can be late sometimes. The cost and billing reports can benefit from more clarity and easier to reconcile. Portal issues and portal reporting it also could benefit from more detailed performance analyses.
What we disliked the most: The cost, we feel like the circuits were still expensive in some locations though cheaper than the private MPLS connections. We had a bunch of issues with our dedicated circuits that seemed to be repetitive and unstable. Customer service...oh my. Our account team turning into what would be described as a group of strangers. The billing issues we experienced, never seemed to go away.
There are a few 'dead' spots in rural areas that we rarely work at. The support AI is limited, clunky, and overall poor; getting to a live representative can be tiresome and frustrating. The following is just a nitpick, but when cancelling a service Verizon really tries to talk you out of it, and sometimes a service just needs to be ended, no questions asked.

Billing Complications and Unstable Connections Impact Satisfaction With Verizon Global WAN
Our overall experience with Verizon Global WAN Services managing our SD-WAN was very mixed. Their service did not seem that reliable or accurate to match their coverage claims. The account team started out great but eventually turned into a team of people we did not know or communicate with that much from what was originally totally the opposite. Managing the network with their engineers was OK, better than expected due to the other issues we were having. Eventually we had had enough and moved to a different provider. - Network Engineer<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source

Security Remains Strong Despite Inconsistent Deployment Experiences With WAN Services
Verizon's Global WAN Services is a strategic asset for high-performance networking. Success with it has been dependant on the deployment logistics, which can be a bit hit or miss. Long term scalability and security is still viable.
