Every product has a standout quality that users depend on most. In disaster recovery, reliability and speed are essential. Zerto excels in these aspects with features that provide peace of mind. The ability to achieve near zerto RPOs/RTOs with continuous replication, combined with simple management and orchestration for disaster recovery 1.Continuous Data Replication - Enables near real-time recovery. 2. Simple Orchestration - Easy to test and execute failover/failback 3. Cloud Flexibility - Supports hybrid and multi-Cloud DR stratergies
It works when properly implemented.
The product is very robust and supports multiple use cases be it Data Protection (backup), Disaster recovery and Migration very well. The dashboard is also very well organized, most of the things are self-explanatory. So, in simple words, easy to Implement, configure and operate. However, due to some IP conflicts which are used by Zerto appliance by default we faced issues during implementation, but it was when we received the world class services from Zerto support team to get out of that situation.
No Solution is Perfect, and understanding the challenges helps set realistic expectations. While Zerto is powerful, there are a few aspects that i found less favorable. Licensening cost are relatively high and scaling can become complexing larger companies
The experience of the implementation. Since we did not have the properly sized targets, we had many issues with deployment. We had to purchase other services from HP to make this work.
My only concern is the expensive and complex licensing, otherwise it will be a 5 star rating

Our overall experience with Zerto has been good. The platform perform reliably, is easy to manage, and has consistently delivered fast and predictable failover results. The interface is intuitive, the learning curve was minimal, and the product has proven itself during testing and real events. The only challenge we ran into involved modifying IP and DNS settings at the failover site.
