Although unfortunately we've had a couple customer reps (due to the org expanding), that does not mean quality of care has diminished. Whenever I request a feature, it is not simply ignored, but actively reviewed and in many cases implemented quickly. There are various teams that are directly responsible for various aspects of the Cyera tool. All teams work hard to implement directly what is requested. They deliver a solid product both front and back end.
We like the data discovery, labeling, and classification process, and the ability to build policies that target specific areas of concern around access to data and data handling and retention.

Contract scaling, lack of ad-hoc scanning, and lack of product maturity are 3 major weaknesses. The contract limits how many file tags we can do for our DLP. With no ad-hoc scanning and tagging, we have to scan the entire org's data weekly, which takes 4-5 business days. From there, the system only has 3-4 business days to conduct any relevant activity (like asset data classification tagging). For an org with a large number of files being created daily, coupled with Microsoft's Graph API daily call limit, this is causing a backlog. Due to the product being relatively new and freshly built from the ground up, a lot of core functionality is missing that you might find in a software that is matured (been around for 10 years and utilized in large orgs). If I want to search for a specific file, I cannot. Currently cannot find details on specific files (data tag, who owns, last edited, shared externally, etc...) just as its own inventory, I need to review that specific file within a raised issue.
1. No continuous monitoring. 2. Filters and reporting are not super intuitive. 3. False-positive results from policies.
The labor involved in forming the correct policies. The lack of proper alerting around health deployment issues.

High Quality Classifications, Easy Deployment, and Some Policy Labor
The Cyera Classification Engine offers a greater degree of quality than other competitors in the field. They don't rely on pure regex, nor do they try and manually enumerate the entire corpus of data elements that exist in the entire world (two fundamentally flawed approaches in other systems). Their ability to detect and classify business context (aka not just "name", but "customer name") and their ability to automatically detect and create new data element types opens up new avenues for compliance and governance workflows. Furthermore, they can handle the large datasets I handle across multiple data storage locations. Their agent-less deployment has made it easy to cover my entire stack quickly. I have found their policy engine to be a little brittle in comparison to the high quality classification engine, and forming the right policies to align them with my company goals is a manual labor process that will hopefully soon be automated. I have also had some issues with aligning on the complete size of my data before contracting, since they contract around raw data size. Getting Insights into Your Cloud-Hosted Data with Cyera
I had an exceptional overall experience. The contracting process was smooth from start to finish, and the vendor was professional in all their communication and worked to answer any questions we had throughout the contracting process. Once the contract was executed, they worked with us to get the product enabled and onboarded, and they worked with us during the initial onboarding. We continue to collaborate regularly today. They also implemented some additional data classification detections based on the data they analyzed as part of our onboarding.
