I like it because it allows custom search behavior and promotes results with customizing which helps organizations guide users
What I like the most is that it works natively with Microsoft 365 applications. AI powered relevance such as being content aware often provides the right documents or conversations quickly even with large volumes of enterprise content without noticeable performance issues.
1. Results, although are generally strong, some similarly named content can still surface in the results, that confuse users 2. Reduced transparency in search analytics, which makes it difficult to measure adoption and quantitative usage metrics 3. Search effectiveness heavily depends on content hygiene and governance
There is a dependency on how well things are organized. If those arent setup well results can be messy or hard to find
The out of the box features are solid, but deeper tailoring can be difficult without advanced technical work, so it suffers from customization limitations. Non-Microsoft content sources require additional configuration or third-party connector solutions. Search speed is awesome with other Microsoft products, but when searching in external systems the results can take longer than expected.
