Deepwatch Managed Detection and Response Services Likes & Dislikes
1. Deepwatch functions as my SOC. I am not required to do much until an incident is escalated. Their dedicated squad knows our environment well. As with any new SOC/MDR service, we spent time together learning the environment and fine-tuning detections. We have a great working cadence at this point in time 2. Our Detection and Splunk engineers have been exceptional, along with our new Vulnerability Management engineer. I have full confidence they can address any request or challenge I present to them. 3. Communication - we have an open Slack channel which I love. I don't need to submit a ticket and wait for someone to respond based on an SLA. I regularly post my initial thoughts in Slack, which are discussed, and eventually turned into a formal ticket request to implement. 4. Since I am the only full-time security resource, having Deepwatch handle VM and MDR is like having several full-time staff members at my disposal, covering 2 very important functions. We have elevated our maturity in both areas thanks to Deepwatch. 5. With Deepwatch I am able to build custom detections for use cases and applications unique to our company. When I evaluated a few vendors, Deepwatch was the only one to commit to building custom detections.
My team rates their service as meeting expectation
What I like most is that Deepwatch MEDR feels like an extension of our own security team, not just a vendor. The service is proactive, operationally mature, and preventative by design. But the expert human engagement aspect truly sets it apart- I appreciate how amazing the team is and how focused everyone is on helping the customer while building a genuine partnership.
There is not much to dislike to date. The only issue is the CSM turnover.
I don't see a lot of value compared to my knowledge of similar companies in the marketplace.
Honestly, nothing meaningful so far. The service, the people, and the process has been really positive and have exceed expectations so far.

Deepwatch Enhances Security Operations and Monitoring for Lean Teams
As someone who serves as the InfoSec Director, architect, engineer, and analyst - supported only by two IT engineers - I needed an MDR partner that could extend my capabilities without expanding internal headcount. Deepwatch has become a key service in how I deliver enterprise-level security with a lean team. I've had 3 Customer Success Managers in the 1.5 years of using Deepwatch which has impacted continuity. I have a request that has been bounced from one CSM to the next. However, a discussion with my most recent CSM provided transparency into why this request has yet to be fulfilled. This kind of transparency should be a default practice of all CSM's at Deepwatch. - IT Security & Risk Management Associate50M-1B USDBankingReview Source

Deepwatch Provides Reliable SOC and Technical Guidance
Deepwatch provides coverage a smaller business can't feasibly manage - they function as a 24/7 SOC and provide meaningful insight into our environment. They also provide a technical insights and assistance that ensure that custom apps and logging sources can be ingested and keep Splunk running smoothly. - Manager, IT Security and Risk Management50M-1B USDSoftwareReview Source
Detection Engineering Improves True Positive Rate Following DRS 2.0 Update Implementation
We transitioned from our previous vendor nearly 2 years ago, and have never looked back. The underlying SIEM platform is great (can't go wrong with Splunk) and we have no issues integrating with our stack. The Deepwatch team is responsive, with some of our requests being resolved in minutes. The DRS 2.0 update has been amazing, bringing the false positives way down and the true positive rate up. I really appreciate the work they've done on detection engineering. - SENIOR DIRECTOR - SECURITY, GOVERNANCE,R50M-1B USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Long-Term Experience Highlights Service Responsiveness and Alert Capability Development
We have been customers for over 7 years, and our initial implementation was smooth and relatively problem-free. We have been able to continue to mature the implementation for our organization's needs. As we have continued to mature our relationship, we have been able to work with Deepwatch and implement additional monitoring elements. Overall, we have been quite pleased with the service.
